Price list
Registering a product's base price
1 min read

This article refers to the latest version of VTEX Pricing. If your store is not yet in this new version, you can request the migration by contacting our support team.

The base price is the basic selling price of a product. It comprises the cost price and the markup wanted in the sale of the product.

To set the base price, follow the steps below:

  • Enter the Pricing module.
  • In the top menu, click Price list. Each row in this list refers to a specific SKU.
  • In the SKU you want, click on the box with the title Base price. A sidebar will open.
  • In the Cost price field, fill in the cost of the SKU.
  • In the Markup field, fill in the profit margin to be obtained by selling this SKU.
  • The base price will be calculated according to the data provided in the previous steps.

If the SKU has a list price, you can add this information by clicking + Set list price.
